✨Prelude to the Rewire: Understanding the Body’s Energy Centers✨

One day in New York City, a woman walked straight up to me on the street. She looked me in the eyes, smiled, and told me something so specific, it gave me chills.

“You have a block in one of your spiritual centers,” she said gently.

She didn’t know my name. She didn’t ask me for anything. She simply said what she came to say and then she disappeared into the crowd. I know how that sounds. Believe me, I replayed it in my mind a hundred times. But deep down, I also knew she was right. I had already been feeling a strange heaviness in my chest. A disconnect from my voice. A sense that something was off internally, despite the immense clarity and peace I have come to - but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Her message confirmed what I already felt in my body but hadn’t yet named.

That moment felt supernatural. But it was also deeply personal - like a divine confirmation of something I was just beginning to study and understand: Energy. And how it moves through the body.

The Body Remembers What the Mind Ignores

In 365 Days of Rewiring the Brain, my text coming out July 7, 2025, I guide readers through how our thoughts, identity, and emotions are wired into us, not just mentally, but physically. We store emotion in the body. And sometimes, despite all the affirmations and mindset work, we still feel stuck.

Why? Because our energy centers - rooted in ancient systems like the chakras and supported by modern research in psychosomatic health - are blocked. Every emotion we suppress, every belief we inherited, every experience we never processed lives somewhere in us. And those stored patterns can affect everything from our creativity to our digestion to our relationships with all people and things in the material world.

Before that encounter in New York, I had already been studying the energy centers drawn to their mysterious, ancient language and the way they seemed to explain so much that modern medicine often overlooks. What began as curiosity quickly became personal. I started to notice the patterns in my own life: the moments I lost my voice, the heartbreaks that physically ached in my chest, the gut feelings I ignored that later turned into literal stomach issues.

The energy centers are more than just spiritual talking points. They are maps of the human experience - emotional, energetic, physical. Each one carries a distinct frequency. Each one governs not only specific organs, but also the quality of the emotions we feel, the beliefs we carry, and the way we show up in the world.

And yet, they don’t operate in isolation.

They work in tandem, like an orchestra of energy - each center a different instrument contributing to the symphony of your well-being. When one is out of tune, the others adjust to compensate. Over time, this compensation becomes imbalanced. The body holds the score.

A blocked throat center might begin as silence. A  truth you didn’t speak -  but left unchecked, it can ripple downward, tightening the heart, dimming the gut, disrupting your ability to feel safe in your own body. Likewise, if the root is unstable, if you don’t feel grounded or safe, how can creativity (sacral), power (solar plexus), or love (heart) truly flourish?

This is why it's not enough to “just think positive” or “change your mindset.” If your body is still holding fear in the root, shame in the sacral, grief in the heart - your energy can’t flow. Your nervous system doesn’t lie. To unblock these centers, we have to literally get to the root, surrender the old seed, and replace it with a new and blessed on using meditation, visualization, and elevated emotion.

The energy centers show us that healing is not about fixing. It’s about freeing. Returning the body to its natural rhythm. Returning you to your natural state.

And when we learn to listen to each center and hear what it’s trying to tell us - we start to reclaim the very essence of who we are. We begin to move through life less from reaction and more from resonance. Less from fear, more from trust. Less from force, more from flow.

Soon, I’ll be revealing the subtle but powerful ways you can begin to unlock each center, gently and gradually, through practices that speak to both the science of the brain and the wisdom of the body.

Because this isn’t about escaping the body. It’s about coming home to it.

This was your prelude. The rewire begins soon.

But before, I want to give you a deeper understanding of each of these systems and what it represents:

Energy Center 1: The Perineum (The True Root Center)

Location: Base of the spine, at the perineum (between the anus and genitals)

Physical Function: Governs the adrenal glands, elimination system, legs, feet

Spiritual Function: Foundation of survival, physical identity, safety

Emotions Stored: Fear, scarcity, survival stress, abandonment, insecurity

Signs of Blockage: Chronic fatigue, anxiety, financial instability, dissociation from the body, feeling unsafe or ungrounded

Balanced State: You feel rooted in your body and life. There is a deep sense of presence, physical vitality, and trust in life. You are able to take up space and feel safe doing so.

This center is primal - it represents your connection to Earth, your sense of belonging, and your ability to survive. When it’s blocked, we live in a state of fear and reactivity, constantly looking for safety outside

Ourselves.

Energy Center 2: Sacral

Location: Just below the navel, lower abdomen

Physical Function: Governs reproductive organs, bladder, kidneys

Spiritual Function: Creativity, pleasure, sexuality, emotional flow

Emotions Stored: Guilt, shame, sexual repression, emotional suppression

Signs of Blockage: Creative blocks, lack of intimacy, codependency, shame around pleasure or expression, hormonal imbalances

Balanced State: You experience emotional fluidity, joy, creativity, and the ability to connect with others in a healthy, intimate way. Life feels sensual and flowing.

This is the center of expression through feeling. It holds your ability to enjoy, to desire, and to create. It’s also where unprocessed shame can live for years if not tended to.

Energy Center 3: Solar Plexus

Location: Upper abdomen, between the navel and chest

Physical Function: Governs digestion, pancreas, liver, metabolism

Spiritual Function: Personal power, self-worth, confidence, autonomy

Emotions Stored: Shame, self-doubt, anger, resentment, powerlessness

Signs of Blockage: Digestive issues, low self-esteem, control issues, overcompensating, perfectionism.

Balanced State: You feel strong, self-assured, decisive. You trust yourself. You stand tall in your worth without seeking validation or dominance.

This center is the home of the ego - not in a negative sense, but in terms of your identity and self-image. It fuels your ability to take action, lead, and stand in your power without fear.

Energy Center 4: Heart

Location: Center of the chest

Physical Function: Governs the heart, lungs, immune system (thymus gland)

Spiritual Function: Love, compassion, connection, forgiveness

Emotions Stored: Grief, heartbreak, loneliness, bitterness, abandonment

Signs of Blockage: Shallow breathing, immune issues, emotional detachment, inability to trust or love

Balanced State: You give and receive love freely. You feel connected to others, to yourself, and to a greater force. There is openness and emotional warmth.

This is the bridge between the physical and spiritual. When open, it allows you to lead with love over fear and to forgive, feel, and connect from a space of truth.

Energy Center 5: Throat

Location: Throat/neck area Physical Function: Governs thyroid, vocal cords, neck, jaw

Spiritual Function: Expression, truth, communication

Emotions Stored: Fear of judgment, lies, silence, repression

Signs of Blockage: Thyroid issues, chronic sore throat, tension in jaw/neck, inability to express needs or speak up

Balanced State: You communicate clearly and confidently. You feel safe expressing your truth. You live in integrity and your words carry power and clarity.

This center often holds the pain of “not saying it” - the truth you swallowed, the scream you buried, the identity you hid to keep the peace. Releasing that unlocks authenticity.

Energy Center 6: Third Eye

Location: Between the eyebrows

Physical Function: Governs brain, pituitary gland, eyes

Spiritual Function: Intuition, vision, insight, inner knowing

Emotions Stored: Confusion, illusion, denial, distrust of self

Signs of Blockage: Headaches, mental fog, overthinking, nightmares, inability to trust your instincts Balanced State: You are intuitive, focused, and imaginative. You trust your inner wisdom and can see clearly - both literally and metaphorically.

The third eye isn't about predicting the future. It's about seeing clearly in the present, past the noise, the conditioning, and the lies you tell yourself. (For lack of a better term, spiritual clarity)

Energy Center 7: Crown

Location: Top of the head

Physical Function: Governs pineal gland, nervous system, brain

Spiritual Function: Connection to higher self, spiritual awakening, enlightenment

Emotions Stored: Disconnection, despair, loss of purpose, isolation

Signs of Blockage: Depression, spiritual confusion, feeling directionless or lost

Balanced State: You feel connected to something greater. Life feels meaningful, sacred, guided. There is a sense of surrender and higher perspective.

This center reminds us we are not just physical. It is our portal to divinity, purpose, and truth. When blocked, we feel like we’re wandering without a compass. When open, we remember who we are.

Energy Center 8: The Field (Beyond the Body)

Location: Just above the head - part of the quantum field

Physical Function: None (energetic field)

Spiritual Function: Unity, higher consciousness, infinite potential, oneness

Emotions Stored: Limitation, ego attachment, fear of surrender

Signs of Blockage: Feeling stuck in material reality, resistance to expansion, disbelief in miracles or energy

Balanced State: You live in the flow. You manifest with ease. You access elevated emotions (gratitude, joy, love) and live from a state of creation, not reaction.

This center isn’t talked about as often, but it’s where manifestation and transformation accelerate. It’s the field of possibility - where the identity dissolves and pure creation begins.

Each energy center is its own world. But together, they form the architecture of your entire being: physical, emotional, spiritual. Understanding them is more than just an exercise in self-awareness. It’s a return to your original design. A remembrance. Because when energy flows freely through these centers, you become more you - not in fragments or compensations, but in full alignment. You speak differently. You move differently. You create, relate, and respond from a place of deep truth.

And when they are blocked - even subtly - we often feel it as disconnection, fatigue, doubt, or chaos… but can’t quite name why. That’s the gift of this knowledge. It gives language to what the body already knows. It gives form to the formless.

It helps you hold space for the parts of yourself that modern culture often ignores such as the silent aches, the stored memories, the energetic threads that tether your past to your present. As I’ve studied, applied, and lived through this understanding in my own journey, I’ve come to see these centers not as metaphysical fluff - but as necessary doorways to true healing. Each center, when honored, helps us remember how to be whole.

In the coming weeks, I’ll begin sharing subtle, practical ways to unlock these centers - not through force, but through presence, awareness, and gentle recalibration. These practices will be rooted in neuroscience, emotional rewiring, body-based healing, and spiritual alignment, and they’ll be the very foundation of what I expand on in my upcoming book.

"Because rewiring your brain isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about becoming who you were before the world taught you to be anything less.

This was your prelude.

The realignment begins now."
